A Vision for Healing

 The Love in Actstion series I'm leading at FUMC Oneonta continued into its second week with the theme of "A Vision for Healing". Our engagement in faith should bring the healing love of God into the world, and that healing starts when we take notice of one another.

Acts of Love

Throughout the Easter season I am inviting congregants to write down specific loving actions they want to take and then clip them to our Love in Action display. This reminds us to put our love into action but it also shows us that we're not in this alone, our whole community is striving together to put our love into action. 

A Vision for Community

On Sunday I started a new worship series at FUMC Oneonta. We are following the community Luke describes in Acts, seeing how they learned to implement the love of God in their living and discovering how we too can put the love of God into action in the world.

This week we focused on putting love into action on the community level, discovering that love needs to be not only the foundation of our existence as a community, but something we always strive to expand and renew.
